#AmtrakHowTo Train Travel Safely
A New Standard of Travel : Learn All About Amtrak’s Enhanced Safety Measures
We've always been dedicated to getting you where you need to go safely and that's never been more true than during the COVID-19 pandemic. After extensive consultation with health experts, we've designed a travel experience that's all about safety and peace of mind.
Join us as we take a journey to view safety measures in action every step of the way from booking to disembarking at your final destination.
As you prepare for your next trip with us, keep in mind these additional helpful tips:
- You can skip checking bags by bringing up to two personal items and two carry-ons aboard with you.
- With bookings limited to 50% of capacity on select trains to allow physical distancing, those traveling alone are welcome to travel with personal belongings in the neighboring seat while friends and family members will easily find seats together.
- Use the Amtrak app for a contact-free ticketing experience and have your phone ready for the conductor to scan once onboard.
- Additionally, use the app to obtain the latest train status updates at your convenience.
